Star + Kiwi Fruitti

Star Kiwi Fruitti

I had been telling myself to eat healthy lately so I bought a bunch of fruits and trying to figure out how to make eating them fun and pretty. I envisioned a fruit platter related to love and Valentine’s Day. This is how star + kiwi fruitti with fresh pomegranate juice came about.

Because Valentine’s is around the corner, my heart is all about love. This fruitti in Chinese is called 心心相印 (xin xin xiang yin), which means “you are my soul mate.” Star and heart have the same pronunciation (xin xin) in Chinese so starfruit here represents the heart.

To put this together, you only need to cup up a starfruit and a kiwi, processed 1/2 cup of pomegranate seeds with a few mint leaves into juice, and decorate with any flower you have from your garden or around the house.

Eating healthy could be pretty and delicious too. Do you agree?

Do you see two hearts dancing hand in hand?

  2. My first visit to Florida many years ago before we moved here…we stopped at a fruit stand and the vendor tried to tell us that the star fruit was known as the sex fruit…of course we all giggled♥ Your photos are gorgeous as ever.

Happy Valentine’s Day and Happy New Year. Are you going to post pictures from your New Year’s meal?

Happy Snake Year to you!!! I will try to post some pictures from my new year’s eve dinner. How was yours?

My wife is taking the kids to NY next week to celebrate with her family. We had some nice Japanese food on New Years Eve. My wife was too exhausted to cook the traditional Chinese meal. Would love to see your spread. Wishing you a peaceful and joyous Year of the Snake. {{{Hugs}}} Kozo

Nice! CNY is all about being with family and eating and laughing. Chinese New Year was my favorite holiday when I was young (when I was still able to collect red envelopes and dressed up and played fireworks). I have a small family (just 7 of us, including a 1-month old baby) so my dad and I made a few dishes but pretty expensive dishes (will post later).

Hope you had a great one with the family. Wish you a prosperous and healthy snake year!!! And of course, more and more followers! 🙂

I am just saying hi. Big blizzard here in Massachusetts; it is a lovely blanket of snow. I like the fries photos. Sorry, I am not a kiwi fan. Be well!

I heard and saw pics! It’s quite scary. Hope things are back to normal by now. Snow looks really powdery though. Snowboard right in the driveway 🙂
